Lisa Newell, New Business Development VP

Engineering Systems Solutions, Inc. of Frederick, MD is proud to announce that Lisa P. Newell has joined their management team as the Vice President of Business Development.
Ms. Newell possesses over 25 years of experience in building and leading business development organizations. Ms. Newell is responsible for developing, managing, and improving the company’s Business Development program. Her responsibilities include creating teams, identifying products and services, branding, advertising, pricing, identifying partnerships, and reporting results.
Before joining ESS, Ms. Newell led organizations for some of the largest IT companies in the industry including Oracle Corporation, Sun Microsystems, Sybase, and NCR. She was responsible for some of the largest contract wins in corporate history and developed the enterprise licensing concept with the Air Force, forever changing the direction of federal spending.
Ms. Newell holds a BS in Economics from Wright State University and MBA in Finance from Mount Saint Mary’s University. She has done extensive postgraduate work in economics, receiving an academic letter from Wright State for her work with the Air Force. Ms. Newell is an active community member serving AFCEA International (Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association) as a member of the DC board and supporting NOVA and the Frederick chapters. She is also a member of the Air Force Association, Industry Advisory Council (IAC), National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), Women in Defense (WID), Women’s Chamber of Commerce, and National Contracts Management Association (NCMA).
