ISO 9001 Surveillance Audit

Recently ESS passed its second annual surveillance audit. On December 6 and 7, 2007, a PJR auditor visited the ESS facilities in Frederick, Maryland. He reviewed a sample of the ESS quality management system and found that it continued to operate in compliance with the standard.
ISO 9001 registration gives objective proof to customers that ESS has an effective quality management system and that all of the standard’s requirements are met. The on-site audit, by an external and impartial expert, determined that ESS is in conformance to the standard.
ESS has been registered, through Perry Johnson Registrars, to ISO 9001:2000, since December 2005. ISO 9001 is the world’s most widely recognized standard for quality management systems.
PJR is scheduled to return in September of 2008 when ESS will undergo a more thorough recertification audit, required every three years to renew the registration certificate.
