Engineering Systems Solutions Awarded Amcom Express Contract
Company establishes field office in Alabama to support Southeast operations

Frederick, MD – Engineering Systems Solutions (ESS) today announced it was awarded part of a multi-group contract with the United States Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) Expedited Professional & Engineering Support Services (EXPRESS), based at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.
ESS was chosen as a subcontractor to work under Madison Research Corporation (MRC) on the technical domain area of the contract which calls for advisory and assistance services including supervision, labor, incidental materials and travel. The federal government contract runs through 2009 with a possibility of renewal. AMCOM is the U.S. Army organization responsible for life cycle management of Army missile, helicopter, unmanned ground vehicle and unmanned aerial vehicle weapon systems.

With the new assignment, ESS will establish a field office in Huntsville, Alabama. The company hired J. Christopher Kolb to run the Huntsville office, and he will be responsible for both business development and building their regional presence. An Alabama native, Kolb has more than 12 years of experience working with cutting-edge technology for aerospace groups such as NASA, Lockheed Martin, Boeing and Northrop Grumman. The Huntsville location will be the tenth field office for ESS.
