Engineering Systems Solutions Appoints John Meincke as President

Frederick, MD – John Meincke, formerly Partner and Vice President, Air Force and Navy Operations, with Unisys Federal Systems, has joined Engineering Systems Solutions as President.
Mr. Meincke also was with Booz Allen Hamilton, where he was a member of the defense team and supported projects in C4ISR and network centric warfare. He led the cross-firm work in network operations that included support for Combatant Commands. Mr. Meincke was also co-lead of Booz Allen’s Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) leadership team.
Prior to joining Booz Allen, Mr. Meincke served in the Air Force as a Brigadier General. His last assignment before retiring was Director of Command, Control, Communications and Computer Systems (J6) at the U.S. Central Command where he was chief information officer for all communications, computer systems and data networks at Central Command's Florida headquarters as well as throughout 25 countries across the Middle East.
Mr. Meincke developed the Theater C4ISR Control Center (TCCC) for CENTCOM, allowing all elements of the networks supporting CENTCOM throughout the area of responsibility to be monitored and coordinated. Information from this TCCC was integrated into DISA’s worldwide Global Network Operations and Security Center, allowing network situational status impacting combat operations to be immediately visualized and assessed.
He also secured the first operational fiber optic connectivity for DoD communications systems within the Middle East. Earlier in his Air Force career, he held several additional senior leadership positions, including Vice Director of DISA, Director of Information Technology Systems, and Director of C4ISR policy at U.S. Air Force headquarters in the Pentagon.
